Deloris Alvino Obituary

Deloris B Muscari Alvino, 82 of Clarksburg passed away suddenly of Cardiac Arrest at United Hospital in Bridgeport on April 17, 2019.  Deloris was born May 17, 1936 in Clarksburg, daughter of the late Francis Anthony and Birdie Virginia Hart Muscari.  Deloris is survived by her fiancé of thirty five years with who she has made her home and was the Love of her Life, Eddie Deegan; one sister, Maryella Muscari Flowers and John, CA; one brother, Francis Daniel Muscari, Sr. and Ewa, VA; nieces and nephews, Nikkie Anne Knight and Brian, Pamela Jean Cowdrey and Ed, Mark Leyton Flowers, John Anthony Flowers and Anna, Francis Daniel Muscari, Jr and Gretchen, Paul “PJ” Marion Muscari; best friends,  Paula Kay (Gainer) Altman of Clarksburg and John Lamp of Clarksburg. In addition to her parents, Deloris was preceded in death by her only child, Larry Stephen Alvino; two twin brothers, Frank Anthony Muscari, Jr and Francis Ferdinand Muscari; brother, Paul Marion Muscari, Sr and sister-in-law, Kathryn Elaine Shay Muscari. Deloris graduated from Washington Irving High School in 1955 and attended the Morgantown Beauty College.  Deloris has made us all better people by just having her in our lives.  Love for her entire family was given unselfishly and without bias. She loved being surrounded by her family. Chatting on the phone with distant family made her quite happy.  Fiancé Eddie Deegan, sister Maryella and brother, Frank feels blessed to have had her in their lives; she always “had our backs’. Deloris was more concerned with the condition of her family than the condition of herself, always the Soul-mate, mother, mentor and friend that everyone should have in their lives.  The Love, patience and kindness she put out into the world made it a better place. Her non-judgmental ways- always knowing she was on your side (no matter what) and the steadfast love for her family is just a few traits that made her such an amazing and strong woman.  Deloris loved animals and doted on both of her Samoyeds, Snowball and Hemi. During the past few years, she has loved her neighbor’s dog, Molly B. Also, over the past few years, she has helped take care of her neighbor, Martha Rae Gainer who recently passed and had become a second mother to her daughter Paula Kay Altman who will miss her daily conversations and the love that she showed daily.  Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 4-8 pm; Catholic Burial Rites will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 11:00 am with Father Patsy Iaquainta as Presider. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to DavisFuneralHomeWV.com.  Davis Funeral Home is honored to assist the Alvino/Deegan family.
