Delores Kay Jacks

Delores Kay Jacks, 68, of Bridgeport, passed away on Tuesday, January 14,2025 at Maplewood Assisted Living. She was born on February 9,1956 in Buckhannon WV, a daughter of the late Roy Cunningham and Opal (Boyles) Cunningham.

Kay is survived by her husband Johnny Jacks, sisters, Nina Monroe and husband Arnie of Buckhannon, Linda Weaver, and husband Russell of French Creek, Sisters in law, Linda Ann Cunningham, Sharon Cunningham and Bernice Sue Cunningham, Brother in Law, Ralphie Quick, and by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Kay was also preceded in death by five brothers; Ralph, Jimmy, Alan, Rodgers, and Gerald (Jerry) Cunningham, and two sisters; Tressie Depoy and Ruby Quick.

Kay was a graduate of Buckhannon Upshur High School; class of 1974 Kay earned a Masters in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia Wesleyan College and Physical Therapist Certification from West Virginia University. Kay enjoyed being a Mary Kay Director and teaching women how to be their best. She enjoyed all outdoor activities and staying fit.

Kay was a Christian by faith and a member of Christ The King, Catholic Church in Daphne Alabama.

Per Delores’s wishes, her body will be donated to the WVU Human Gift Registry.
