Delbert "Carl" Jenkins

Delbert “Carl” Jenkins,73 of Lost Creek passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at his residence with family by his side. He was born January 15, 1949 in Lost Creek, son of the late Earl Lee and Hattie Odessa Anderson Jenkins.

Carl worked at General Motors and retired from the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union in Clarksburg with twenty plus years of service. His hobbies were hunting, and fishing with the kids and grandchildren and loved family time. He was a member of Free Will Baptist Church where he taught Bible Class and was a Minister. He was very strong in his faith and he would preach follow me, and I will make you a fishers of men.    

Carl is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Sharon Lee Westfall Jenkins; four children, Carl Douglas “Doug” Jenkins and Bridgette, Clarksburg, Robert Earl “Bobby” Jenkins and Heidi, Lost Creek, Jerrold Clyde “Jerry” Jenkins and Christina, Clarksburg, Sharon Lynn “Sherry” Conley and Chris, Clarksburg; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; five siblings, Lee Roy Jenkins, El Paso, TX, Milton Jenkins and Helen, Jane Lew, Ruth Jenkins, Lost Creek, Deward Jenkins, Jane Lew, Beatrice Parks and Pete, Buckhannon; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Carl is preceded in death by one daughter, Cheri Daun Jenkins; siblings, Earl Lee Jenkins Jr., Laura Lee Smith, Melba L Losh, James Elwood Jenkins, Virginia C Jenkins, and Pauline F David.

Family will receive friends at Free Will Baptist Church, Ohio Ave, Clarksburg, WV for Visitation on Monday, September 19, 2022 from 11:00am till the time of the funeral service at 1:00pm with Pastor Bobby Bright officiating.
