Debra Loraine Johnson, 72, of Salem, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026 in Bridgeport at United Hospital Center with family by her side. She was born on November 13, 1953 in Mount Clare, a daughter of the late John Norman Davis and Velma Ruth Eakle Swiger.
Debra is survived by three children, Mary Louava Johnson, Crystal Ann Johnson and Wayne Anthony Johnson all of Salem; 15 grandchildren, Justin Shaw, Kaitlyn Davis, Matthew Johnson (Chasity), Britany Johnson (Synamon), Cassandra Johnson, Heather Eakle (Shawn), Harvey Johnson (Aimee), Shelby Johnson (Anthony), Aaron Eakle (Alley), Gabriel Cummings, Aiden Cummings, Keira Cummings, Ian Knight, Shayla Jackson and Austin Jackson (Brooklyn); twenty three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her companion of 35 years, George Michael Lattea on November 8, 2021; one son, Jerry “Pete” Paul Davis; six sisters, Virginia Hardman, Doris Lyons, Margaret Davis, Helen Davis, Karen Livingston, and Barbara Lattea; and one brother William Davis.
Debra was a homemaker. She collected angels. Her life was her family and time they spent together. Debra was and excellent cook and enjoyed playing Bingo.
Family and friends will be received at the Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 from 3:00-7:00 PM and on Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 9:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Tim Sandy officiating.
