David Michael Brosius, Sr.

David Michael Brosius, Sr., 72 of Hepzibah passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Ruby Memorial Hospital with family by his side. He was born September 13, 1947 in Clarksburg, the son of the late Henry Edward and Kathleen Skidmore Brosius.

David was a Quality Control Inspector for thirty eight years at Clarksburg Casket Company. His hobbies were fishing, hunting and playing cards.  He was a member of the Bowling League at Jewel City Bowling Alley.

David is survived by his wife of fifty four years, Margaret Brosius; three children, Charles Homer Brosius and Vanessa of Kincheloe, Rhonda Louise Lindsey and Rocky of Erie and David “Mike” Brosius II and Patty of Clarksburg; nine grandchildren, Amy Craddock and Josh, Andrew Harris and Lindy, Charles David Brosius and Samantha, Justin Lindsey and Amanda, Allen Harris and Savannah, Jordan Lindsey and Cori, Jesse Lindsey and Jessica, Jarrod Brosius and Jessica and Ashleigh Brosius and Tyler; fourteen great-grandchildren, Zoey, Aubrey, Kaleigh, Casen, Jaxon, Tawney, Ella, Diesel, Bodhi, Knox, Camden, Cole, Ethel and Mia; two brothers, James Brosius and Carol of Elkhart, IN and John Brosius and Nancy of Bridgeport; brother and sister in laws, Susie Shetterly and Duncan of Newton Falls, OH and Charles Moore of Frostproof, FL; one special cousin, Peggy Sapko of Smithton, PA; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by one brother, William “Bill” Brosius; four sisters, Pat Miller, Sue Deem, Sandra Fazalare and Linda Marra; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charles and Ethel Moore; brother and sister in laws, Oscar Moore, Carol “Patty” Moore, Loretta Scott, Janet Harris and Louise Moore.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 2 to 7PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Robert Shingleton officiating. Interment will follow at Hepzibah Cemetery.
