Danyel Marie McCarty

Danyel Marie McCarty, 56, of Clarksburg, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at United Hospital Center. She was born on April 21, 1968 in Clarksburg, daughter of the late Krandall McCarty and Gloria Ruby Slaughter.

Danyel graduated from Liberty High School class of ‘87. She volunteered at United Hospital Center for 15 years. Danyel enjoyed reading, playing games on the phone, scrolling through Facebook, working on crossword puzzles. She loved to watch soap operas, going to the movies and spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Danyel is survived by two sisters, Donna Mae Hileman, Dawn “Michelle” Miller and fiancé Steven DeMeester; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Per her request she will be cremated.
