Dale Massey Obituary

Dale Watkins Massey, 67, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025 in Clarksburg, West Virginia, Veteran’s Facility from a cardiac arrest and an extended illness.

Dale was born on December 17, 1957 in Ogden, Weber County, Utah to Glenn and Marian Massey.   At age 11, he moved with his family to Phoenix Arizona.  Dale graduated from Camelback High School where he was active in Scouting, Drama, and Sports.

Following High School Dale served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Kobe, Japan.  After his mission, his served his country in the U.S. Air Force & Law Enforcement. He was stationed in Okinawa for many years, where his fluency in Japanese was a valuable asset. He was then employed with the Department of Homeland Security; his last assignment was at Reagan International Airport where he made numerous friends and enjoyed using his languages to communicate with cultures from all over the world.

In 2003, Dale met and married the love of his life, Loubna, who has been his support and caretaker through all of his medical challenges.

Dale was known for his quick wit, infectious laughter, and unwavering kindness which brought joy to everyone around him. His legacy is one of resilience and love. Despite facing numerous health challenges, he faced them with courage and humor.

Dale would always say his greatest accomplishment in life was being the father of his two amazing sons, Trevor and Eric. The loss of a father is a profound and deeply personal experience, touching every part of our lives. To his surviving sons, Trevor Watkins Massey and Eric Dillon Massey:  he loved you with all his heart and is still loving you as your ministering angel.  He will be cheering you on through every challenge and triumph in your life.

Dale is also survived by his beloved companion, Loubna Massey Salagh, who has been his support, his caretaker and greatest friend since the day they met and married in 2005.

His grandchildren: Rosey, 13, Ashtyn, 20, Peyton, 17, and Finn, 9 Brothers, John E. Massey (Miriam), Richard G. Massey, Anne M. Ecton (David). Sister-in-law, Terry Massey and numerous nieces and nephews.
