Curtis Ray Thorne

Curtis Ray Thorne, 59, of Nutter Fort, WV passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born July 19, 1961 in Cleveland, OH, the son of the Dorothy Irene Chadwich Cecil and husband Donald Eugene Cecil and the late Buren Curtis Thorne.

Curtis worked as a lineman for Strongsville Cable in Ohio for many years. More recently he worked as a Maintenance worker for Clarksburg Continuous Care. He loved working puzzles. He was very fond of working in his yard and he took very good care of his flower gardens. He was also an avid WVU Football and Cleveland Browns fan.

Curtis is survived by his loving wife of over twenty-three years, Rebecca Hutchinson Thorne; five children, Paula Pelley, Cory Thorne, and Janie Thorne, all of Berea, OH, Selina Hutchinson, of Shinnston, and Stephanie Hutchinson, of Bridgeport; grandchildren, Dakota and Corie Thorne, Nolan, Isaac, and Liberty Haley, and Violet Pelley, all of Berea, OH, and Brooklyn Dorsey, of Shinnston; four siblings, Kathy Honaker and Pamela Cecil, both of Lumberport, Terry Thorne, Ohio, and Bobby Tolve, Bufred, SC; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Curtis was preceded in death by brother, Danny Thorne.
