Constance “Connie” Ruth Cade, 77, of Elkins, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 in Bridgeport at United Hospital Center. She was born on April 3, 1949 in Akron OH, a daughter of the late Paul Dorn Collins and Ella Marie Hedrick Collins.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Stephen Gene Cade, whom she married on April 3, 1975. In addition, she was also survived by her son Joseph Cade and wife Sandra Van Densen of San Diego, CA; one granddaughter, Jacqueline Van Densen; siblings, David Collins, Crystal Collins, Mega Collins and Paula Blankenship.
Connie was a proud graduate of Elkins High School, Class of 1967, and honorably served her country as a veteran of the United States Army. A woman of deep and abiding faith, she was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and found great joy in sharing her beliefs and offering encouragement to others.
Connie possessed a gentle and compassionate spirit that touched the lives of many. She found happiness in quilting, creating with her hands pieces that reflected the warmth and care she carried in her heart. Her love for animals was unwavering, and she never turned away a person or animal in need. Connie was known for opening both her home and her heart to those seeking comfort, kindness, and unconditional love. Her caring nature, selflessness, and quiet strength will be deeply remembered by all who knew and loved her.
