Conni Sue Hagi, 60, of the Broadway section of Clarksburg, passed away after a battle with cancer on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at UHC Hospice. She was born at St. Mary’s Hospital in Clarksburg on November 10, 1962, the youngest daughter of Betty Lou McCarty Hagi and the late George E. Hagi.
Conni attended Roosevelt-Wilson High School and worked at Appalachian Tire and Wholesale Tire in West Virginia and various other shops in Texas. She was a very hard worker and could outwork most men. She loved her camp, camp family, and huge campfires.
She is survived by her brother, George D. (Danny) Hagi and wife Lori of Buckhannon, WV; sisters Teri Frye, Tami Gifford, and twin Candi Henderson all of Clarksburg; her significant other Terry Leonard and son Terry; nephews Bobby Starr (Jennifer), Michael Crawford (Cady) and Kenna Frye (Courtney) of the Clarksburg area; nieces Kayla Gentry (Wesley Wayne) of Sioux Falls, SD and Randi B. Hagi of Harrisonburg, VA; great nephews and nieces: Alex Starr, Kenna Frye II, Chloe Frye and Emma Crawford all of Clarksburg, Aspen and Bethany Starr of Frederick, MD, and Marshall Gentry of Sioux Falls, SD; special lifelong friend Prudy Mitchell of Clarksburg; and her dog Merle.
She was preceded in death by brother Joseph Randall (Moe) Hagi, nephew James Patrick Crawford, brothers-in-law Kenny Frye and Marshall Henderson, grandparents Joe and Goldie Hagi, and Bert and Lena McCarty, and her beloved dog Sadie.
In keeping with her wishes, Conni will be cremated. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
