Clyde Harold Stonestreet III, 66, of West Milford, passed away on March 9, 2026 after an extended illness with the love of his family.
He was born on June 12, 1959, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Clarksburg, a son of the late Clyde Harold “Stoney” Stonestreet Jr. and Charlotte B. Reeves Stonestreet.
Clyde was a proud graduate of South Harrison High School, Class of 1978. He was known as a hardworking and dependable man who dedicated over 31 years of service to Bridgford Foods as a driver and salesman before retiring. Through the years, Clyde built a reputation for his strong work ethic, kindness, and the pride he took in providing for his family.
Family was always the center of Clyde’s life. He shared 46 loving years of marriage with his high school sweetheart, Tonya Lea Richards, whom he married on January 12, 1980. Together they built a life grounded in love, loyalty, and commitment.
In his free time, Clyde enjoyed watching sports, keeping up with the news, and spending evenings watching his favorite programs on ID Discovery. Before his health declined, he cherished the time spent on the golf course with his brother, creating many memories together. Above all, his granddaughter Madison was the light of his life, and he took great pride in cheering her on in all of her accomplishments.
Clyde is survived by his devoted wife, Tonya Lea Stonestreet of West Milford; his son, Josh Stonestreet of Clarksburg; and his beloved granddaughter, Madison Stonestreet. He is also survived by his siblings, Cheryl C. Lemaster and her husband Barry of Gypsy, and Clay H. Stonestreet and his wife Tammy of Clarksburg; his father-in-law, Alfred L. Richards of West Milford; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who will remember him for his quiet strength, dedication, and caring heart.
In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Ryan Stonestreet; his daughter, Serena Nicole Stonestreet; his stepbrother, Douglas “Doug” Stonestreet; and his mother-in-law, Sandi Barnett Richards.
Family and friends will be received at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Route 98, Clarksburg, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and again on Friday, March 13, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor Rita Robinson officiating.
