Clyde Ellsworth Ice

Clyde Ellsworth Ice, 85, of Mount Clare, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 in New Milton at the home of Carol Ross his caregiver.  He was born on August 19, 1939 in Bridgeport, a son of the late Roy Donald and Freda May Rector Ice.

He is survived by his son, Mitchell Ice of Mount Clare; grandchildren, Angel, Summer and Wesley Ice; great grandchildren, Chase, Ember and Airabella;

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Clyde Ellsworth Ice, II; siblings, Francis Ice, Gene Ice, Roy “Dump” Ice, Russell Ice, Vicky Tichenor and Idabella Gordon and one special friend John Ramsey.

After graduating High School, he proudly served his country for four years in the United States Marine Corp.  He was employed as a glass worker for a few glass factories in the Clarksburg area.  He enjoyed fishing and hanging out with his friends.

Family and friends will be received at Davis Funeral Home and Cremation, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 3:00pm-7:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 11:30AM. Interment will follow to the West Virginia National Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded by the United States Marine Corp and the Harrison County Honor Guard.
