Claris Lee (Craig) Standard

Claris Lee Standard, 73 of Fairmont, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022 in the comfort of her home with her family by her side. She was born November 2, 1948 in Shinnston, daughter of the late Robert Lee Craig and Jane Marie Swiger Craig.

Claris worked as a CNA in a personal care home in Mannington and later went into private care for many years.  She loved spending time with her family and long-time partner. She enjoyed listening to country music and dancing.  

Claris is survived by  her three children, Angela Campbell and husband Todd, Pittsburgh, PA, Gale Lynne Standard, Bridgeport, Rodney Alan Standard and companion, Angel Price Bradley, Shinnston; five grandchildren, Nathaniel Standard, Courtney Mrvan and Dayne, Derek Mrvan, Hannah Parsons, and Chandler Standard; one great grandson, Roman Williams; Bridgeport; three siblings, Margie Burch, Fairmont, Eddie Craig, Frederick, MD, Helen Limbley, Shinnston; nephew that was raised  like a brother, Lee Haught, Morgantown; numerous nieces and nephews; her companion, Wesley “Junior” Heater, Bridgeport.

In addition to her parents, Claris is preceded in death by six siblings, Freda Kurbaba, Geneva Haught, Norma Custer, Freddie Craig, Junior Craig, and Wanda Donachy.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, WV, on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 4:00-8:00PM and on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 9AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00AM with Pastor Bill Preston officiating.
