Clara Gayle Ashcraft

Clara Gayle Ashcraft, 63, of Mount Clare, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at her residence. She was born on February 4, 1962 in Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late Donald Everett and Mary Martha Meeker Ostrander.

Clara is survived by her husband of 38 years, Roy Ashcraft.

In addition to her husband, Clara is also survived her siblings, Donald Everett, Jr. Ostrander of South Carolina and Richard Edward Ostrander of Mount Clare; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Clara is preceded in death by her siblings, Joyce Smith and Donna Hendershot.

Clara graduated from John Marshall High School and West Virginia Junior College. She had worked as a manager at the Diary Mart and as the secretary at R.D. Wilson for several years. She enjoyed knitting and reading. Clara loved nature and being outdoors where she could feed the animals. She was also an avid WVU fan.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 3:00PM until the time of the funeral service at 6:30PM with Dr. Wayne Cross officiating.
