Christina Marie Post

Heaven received one of its saints, our sweet & simple mother.

Christina Marie "Thérèse" Post, resident of Norfolk, Virginia and child of Clarksburg, West Virginia returned to Heaven  peacefully after 66 years on Thursday, February 12, 2026, in Norfolk surrounded by loved ones. She was born on July 25, 1959 to Fred & Mildred Post also of Clarksburg. 

Christina was the central essence of our family - a humble source of love, wisdom and encouragement. While her absence is felt among us all, we take comfort in knowing her spirit lives on through her four children and an abundance of grandchildren. Survivors include her cherished children - three sons, John Vincent Post, Fredrick Jason Post, Christopher Michael Post - and a daughter, Sarah Emily Post - Hong. Her beloved grandchildren include Christian & Micah and their sister Jalyse, Elijah & Ethan and their sister Breyonna, Audien & Rowan, and many more on the way. 

She was preceded in death by her sister Charlotte, and her brothers Freddy & Michael. She was a wonderfully involved Grandmother to her grandchildren each of whom had unique and memorable relationships with her. Her grandchildren share the beautiful stories of her singing, dancing and making melody unto the Lord. Mama's kindness and warmth touched everyone around her. 

A few of her favorite things were animals, especially cats, being outside in nature among the trees, flowers and open fields, and she appreciated good food - cooking several Italian dishes, as well as homemade fudge, while also enjoying pizza, pop & candy. 

She spent her life showing compassion to others as a natural teacher to the young and a kindhearted caregiver for the elderly. She volunteered in many capacities including at Christ The King Catholic Church as a member of the Legion of Mary, and was known as a true woman of God among her peers. Her family will always remember her for her nurturing spirit.
