With great sadness, we announce the passing of Charles “Chuck” Lee Barker, of Anmoore, West Virginia. He was the son of Homer and Irene Barker born on June 29th, 1955; and passed on Christmas Day - December 25th, 2019 to be with the Lord.
Charles was a loving husband, devoted father, brother, grandfather, and uncle. He is survived by his loving wife Pamela Jean Barker and his two son’s Chadrick Barker and wife Jennifer; and Joseph Barker and his fiancé Lesley. He is also survived by his grandchildren Andrew Barker, Austin Barker, Gregory Barker, Adeley Barker, Matthew Barker, and Grayson Barker.
He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Eleanor Pratt, Virginia Belle Bonnell, Ronald Barker, Donald Barker, Gary Barker, Billy Joe Barker, Stephen Barker, Rosa Lee Barker, and Cookie Barker. Those left behind are Evelyn Davis, Betty Anne Yeater, Larry Barker, and Lorraine Moore. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and close friends.
Charles was well known in his community. He served as a Little League Coach, Babe Ruth Coach, Jerry West Coach, Cub Scouts Leader; and served on the Anmoore Lions Club, Volunteer Fire Department, City Council, Park Board, and Water Board.
If anyone had known Charles, they would have realized that he never knew a stranger. He was always willing to help anyone in need; and enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren participate in sports or any other activities. He was also a was very particular about his yard and could be seen at any hour of the day mowing or landscaping.
A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the Anmoore Fire Department, 100 S Ash Street, Anmoore, WV from 1-4PM.
