Charles "Charlie" A. Poole, III

Charles A Poole, III, 82, of Salem and formerly of Warfordsburg, PA passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025 in Salem.  He was born on December 7, 1942 in Waynesboro, PA a son of the late Charles A. Poole, Jr. and Charlotte Kipe Poole.

He is survived by his wife Linda Bair Poole in Warfordsburg, PA.

He is also survived by his children Charles A Poole, IV, Sandra (Poole) Sedmeyer; grandchildren, Sarah Poole, Amanda Poole, and Lizah McClellan and her husband Tyson; brother, Mark R Poole and his wife Gloria; nieces, Bertie (Poole) Chinn and Danielle Poole.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon Poole.

Charlie was a Heavy Equipment Operator in the construction industry.  Born with a deep love for horses, Charlie spent his life raising, showing, riding, and shoeing them. Whether it was training a young colt, competing in the show ring, or lending a skilled hand with farrier work, he poured his heart into every aspect of horsemanship. His quiet strength, patience, and deep bond with animals earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.
