Charles “Charlie” Michael Dixon, 41 of Bridgeport passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at his residence with family by his side. He was born February 8, 1979 in Clarksburg, son of Jesse Lindsay and Debra Lynn Thomas Dixon of Bridgeport
Charlie graduated from Bridgeport High School, Class of 1997. He worked at Foodland during high school. He owned Charlies Restaurant in Anmoore for fifteen years. He had worked in the United Brotherhood of Carpentry. He owned Dixon’s Designs. He worked for years with Doug Rhoades. He was a great father that loved his girls and was good to his family and friends. His hobbies were collecting antique cars, trains, and tools, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, camping, doing yard work, playing baseball, family cookouts and drinking beer.
In addition to his parents, Charlie is survived by his wife, Melissa Boyles Carder Dixon whom he married May 5, 2019, four children, Ashley Nicole Nicholson, Olivia Gabrielle Nicholson, Elizabeth Grace Nicholson, and Kaitlynn Renee Carder; two brothers, Jason Lindsay Dixon, Bridgeport, Jamie Allen Dixon and Emily, West Milford; maternal grandfather, Isaac Francis Thomas Sr, Clarksburg; mother-in-law, Deloris Jean Buckhannon Boyles, Bridgeport; several nephews and a niece; and many friends.
Charlie was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Joanne Belle George Thomas Smith and husband Larry Marvin Smith; paternal grandparents, Charles Virgil and Martha Mae Hyman Dixon; father-in-law, Kenneth John Boyles.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 2PM until time of Funeral Services at 6:00 PM with Pastor Larry Kyle officiating.
