Carolyn Marie (Painter) Zebley Wright

Carolyn Marie Zebley Wright, 84 of Clarksburg passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at her residence with family by her side. She was born February 26, 1935 in Richwood, WV daughter of the late Charles Henry Painter Sr and Bertha Elizabeth Bayne Painter Alkire and step father, Howard J Alkire.

Carolyn was an active person who loved spending time with her family. Carolyn worked as a care assistant and an elevator operator in Clarksburg. She also worked many places including Continental Can Co and last worked at Consolidated Coal Company as a coalminer. She enjoyed crafts.

Carolyn is survived by four children, Sharon Loy and Ed, Tammy Audia, Craig Wright and Tammy, and Bryan Wright and Patty all of Clarksburg; one sister, Geraldine Tiller, Danville, VA; ten grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and stepfather, Carolyn was preceded in death by one son, David Allen Zebley; seven siblings, Homer, Eugene, Charles, Clifford, Catherine, Frances and Mildred.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, WV 23601 from 4:00 pm until the time of Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 pm with Pastor Jerome Lewis officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations are to be made to the WVU Foundation, WVU Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute, PO Box 1650 Morgantown, WV 26507-1650.
