Carmella Louise (Kirk) Forte

Carmella Louise (Kirk) Forte, 66, of Clarksburg passed away at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown, WV on August 4, 2022, with family by her side. She was born in Clarksburg on September 24, 1955, the daughter of the late Cleona Joyce “Kirk” Proudfoot.

Carmella graduated from Washington Irving High School Class of 1973. Carmella was the Supervisor of Operations for the Department of Health and Human Resources for thirty-three years. She enjoyed scrapbooking, reading, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

Carmella is survived by three daughters, Christina Carmella Magalotti, Melissa Marie Mills, and Ebony Nacole Dominique Payne, all of Clarksburg; one brother, Anthony D. Kirk, and wife Christy, of Salem; ten grandchildren, Whitney Corathers, Haley Mustachio, Salvatore Mustachio II, twins, Kayla and Christina Harper, Clifford Harper, Solomon Harris, Omarianna, Oceanna, Hezekiah Darlington; eight great-grandchildren, Alek, Addison, Athan, Adalaya, Serenity, Harper, Jenna- Leigh, Celena; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother, Carmella was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Forte in 1984 and she married on November 5, 1979; a brother, Charles “Chuck” Kirk, and a great grandchild, Vincent Marshall Yocco.

Family and friends will be received at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 from 2pm until Celebration of Life Service at 3pm with Pastor Tom Sears officiating.
