Carl Milford Shaffer Jr.

Carl Milford Shaffer Jr., age 80 passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024, after a long illness. He was born on July 27, 1944, to the late Carl Milford Shaffer Sr. and Laura Marie Ketchem Shaffer, Carl was proceeded in death by his first wife Harriett Weaver Shaffer and brother-in-law Dillon Bayes. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Betty Jo Shaffer, daughter Julie Marie Shaffer-Rajakar (Chandra) of Nokomis, FL, daughter Leslie Shaffer Marcozzi of Bridgeport, WV and son Dallas Shaffer of Fairmont, WV.  Three grandchildren Ryan Das Rajakar, Collette Hall and Naomi Marcozzi. He is also survived by his sister Patti Elaine Shaffer Bayes of Rogersville, AL and brother Donald Shaffer (Leslie) of Manakin Sabot, VA. Carl, along with his father, opened a service business in Clarksburg and he ultimately took over the business when his father retired. Carl had a reputation of never finding a piece of equipment he could not fix. His last position, before retiring, was the service organization at the UHC hospital in Bridgeport.  The family would like to thank the various personnel who provided great care both at Ruby.
