Brenda Joyce Wetzel

Brenda Joyce Wetzel, 80, of Mount Clare, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at United Hospital Center.  She was born on July 2, 1944 in Lewisburg, WV, a daughter of the late Elmer Thomas Williamson and Becky Napier Spencer and husband Charles.

Brenda graduated from Roosevelt-Wilson High School Class of 1962. She worked as a clerk for J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital until her employment with the FBI. Brenda was a member of the Quiet Dell United Methodist Church. She loved to swim, cook, bake, and most importantly, spend time with her family.

Brenda is survived by her two children, Kristal Harger of Ranson, WV, and Kevin Wetzel of Harpers Ferry; three grandchildren, Jesse Owens, Olivia Gibson Wetzel, and Max Harger; two siblings, Charles Lee Spencer and wife Connie of Sterling, VA, and Deborah Spencer of Clarksburg; niece, Ally Spencer; great niece, Sofia Spencer; friends that are family, Jackie and Steve Patterson and their daughter, Alicia.
