Betty Jean Cossabone, 62, of Salem, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.
She was born on October 23, 1963, in Barton, Vermont, the daughter of the late Mary Patton Carpenter.
Betty was a devoted wife, step-mother, sister, and aunt whose greatest joy in life was her family. She was married to her beloved husband, Joseph “Michael” Cossabone, and together they made their home in Salem, West Virginia. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her step children: Thad and his wife Susan of New Orleans, and Beth and her husband Joey of Charleston. She also leaves behind several cherished nieces and nephews.
Betty enjoyed reading and treasured the time she spent surrounded by those she loved most. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
She was preceded in death by 2 sisters , 2 infant brothers and her mother.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place.
