BBetty Jean Barberio, 88, of Clarksburg, peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at United Hospital Center surrounded by her family. She was born on November 26, 1937 in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late Harley Lane and Bertha Mae Wilson Lane.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Dominick “Nick” Barberio who passed away on May 3, 2009. They were united in marriage on January 16, 1954.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Lambiotte of Parkersburg; two sons, Dominick Barberio Jr., of Clarksburg and Frank Barberio and wife Loretta of Reynoldsville; seven grandchildren; Samantha Sinnett, DJ Barberio and fiancee Jessica, Heather Barberio, Joe Lambiotte and wife Nikki, Tara Hinkle and husband Ron, Todd Lambiotte and wife Sara, and Frankie Barberio; adopted granddaughter, Cynthia Barbe; great grandchildren, Clay Sinnett and fiancée Chasity, Xavier Sinnett and fiancée Alexis, Waylon Barberio, Maddie Winians, Matthew Barberio, Julian Boyles, Austin Thomas, Paige West and husband Matt, Makenzie Ferguson and husband Ben, Joel Lambiotte, TJ Lambiotte, Rylee Hinkle and Carly Wilt and husband Caleb; great great grandchildren, Broden, Cohen, and Mackenley West, Brantlee Thomas, Emory Thomas, Layla Thomas; one brother, Sonny Lane; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Joe Dotson, Sarah Wilson and husband John, Charles Charlie Lane and wife Ethel and Kathy Lane; son-in-law Tom Lambiotte and Michael Ferruso.
She found her greatest happiness in caring for those she loved, especially through cooking for her family and spending treasured time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought endless joy to her life. She had a wonderfully witty personality and a playful sense of humor that could brighten any room, always ready with a joke, a laugh, or a funny story. Her caring heart, loving nature, and selfless willingness to help others were evident in the way she lived each day. She made people feel welcomed, comforted, and loved, and the memories she created with family and friends will be cherished forever.
Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 11:00 am with Deacon John Yaquinta presiding. Online condolences may be shared at www.davisfuneralhomewv.com. Davis Funeral Home is honored to serve the Barberio family.
