Bertha M. Pratt, 91, of Reynoldsville, was gently called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 21, 2026, while surrounded by the comfort and love of her family at her daughter’s home in Bridgeport.
Born on November 5, 1934, in Reynoldsville, Bertha was the cherished daughter of the late William McKinley and Nellie Agnus Flanigan Estlack. She carried with her a lifetime of warmth, kindness, and quiet strength that touched all who knew her.
A proud graduate of Victory High School, Bertha dedicated many years of compassionate service as a Certified Nursing Assistant, caring for others at Americare in Salem and United Hospital Center in Clarksburg. Her gentle spirit and caring hands made a lasting difference in the lives of countless patients and coworkers.
Bertha was a devoted member of Reynoldsville Baptist Church, where her faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—creating beautiful jewelry, sewing and quilting with love, solving crossword puzzles, and collecting coins. These hobbies reflected her patience, creativity, and attention to detail, qualities that defined her so well.
Above all, Bertha treasured her family. She is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Jeannene Pratt and Jennifer Pratt, both of Bridgeport; her grandchildren, Ashley Marchiny and husband Gary, Matthew Cottrill, and Madison Pratt; and her great-grandchildren, Kylan Rogers and Nyrah Marchiny. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Ellen Ezzo of Warren, OH, along with several nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
In addition to her parents, Bertha was reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, William H. Pratt, who passed away on February 7, 2015, and her sister, Wilma Davis.
Though her presence will be deeply missed, Bertha’s legacy of love, faith, and compassion will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Her gentle soul and unwavering devotion to her family will never be forgotten.
Private services will be held at Davis Funeral Home, with private entombment to follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
