Barbara "Barb" (Jones) Griffith

Barbara Griffith 92, went to her heavenly home on August 16th at Morgantown Heights with her family by her side. She was born on July 25th, 1933 to the late Raymond J and Irene Thompson Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Truman Earnest Griffith on March 1, 1997, her son, Robert “Bob” Paul Griffith and her brother, Raymond Jones (Rampaul)Jones. She is survived by her daughters, Debby Lamb (John), Brenda Hetterman (Randy), her daughter-in-law, Ginny Griffith, and her sister-in-law, Barbara Jones. She is also survived by granddaughters, Jodi Heflin, Stephanie Bassell and Amy Woodson; great grandsons, M.J. Brian and Austin Wolfe; great granddaughters, Hali Phares, Lindsey Woodlief, Shelby Woodson, Jennifer Todd and Ashley Bassell; and eight great great grandchilden. Barb was an avid NASCAR and WVU football fan. She loved writing poetry and painting. In keeping with her wishes she was cremated. It was also her wish that there be no service. The family wishes to thank the nurses and all the staff at Morgantown Heights for the excellent and compassionate care she received the three months she was there.
