Barbara Kay Lattea, 69, of Stonewood, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 in Bridgeport at United Hospital Center. She was born on September 6, 1955 in Mount Clare, a daughter of the late John Davis and Velma Eakle.
She is survived by five children, Donald Goldsmith, Jr. and fiancée Kimberly Nice of Clarksburg, Carl Goldsmith of Stonewood, Dorothy Ayers and husband Daniel of Stonewood, Philip Eakle and companion Missy Hicks of Mount Clare and Aaron Eakle and wife Alley of Salem; fourteen grandchildren, Alyssa Souchick, Carl Goldsmith, Freedom Searcy and companion Aaron Flanagan, Debra Ayers, Kimberly Ayers and companion Seth Ashley, Rebecca Ayers, Isabella Ayers, Shelbie Hicks, Adalie Hicks, Abriella Mills, Noah Eakle, John Eakle, Rex Eakle and Tundra Eakle; two great grandchildren, Allison Gaston and John Landis; one sister, Debra Johnson; along with several nieces and nephews, especially her niece Keira-TT Cummings.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Sophie Eakle; five sisters, Virginia Hardman, Doris Lyons, Margaret Davis, Helen Davis and Karen Livingston; and one brother William Davis; and her children’s father, Donald Goldsmith, Sr.
Barbara attended South Harrison High School and worked in housekeeping at Hartland Nursing Home. She was also a care provider at Senior Care. She loved to play bingo, especially at Village Square. She enjoyed doing hair and makeup as well as shopping on TEMU.
Family and friends will be received at the Davis Funeral Home, February 1, 2025 from 2:00 PM until time of Funeral Service at 5:00 PM with Pastor William Kerns officiating.
