Barbara Ann Lantz

Barbara Ann Lantz, 79 of Nutter Fort passed away on Monday, August, 28, 2023 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital with family by her side. She was born on May 17, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late William Charles and Alice Martha Morrow Harris.

Barbara was a homemaker. She collected owls and crosses. She had attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and read her bible daily. Her love was family and spending time with them all.

Barbara is survived by her children, Eugene Lantz, Craigmoor, Donna Griffith, Karen Weekley and Jerry Sigly, Christine Thomas, Lori Lawhorn, Carol Knight and Tobey, Denise Edwards and Richard all of Clarksburg, Allison Stickle and Richard, Weston; special grandson, William Clarence Lantz, Clarksburg to whom Barbara raised; thirty-two additional grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her loving husband whom she married on September 20, 1963, William Clarence Lantz who passed on May 6, 1989; one daughter, Barbara Lantz; two sons-in-law, Duane Thomas and DeWayne Lawhorn; siblings, Robert “Bud” Harris, Charles Harris, Joan Cutright and Patricia Ann Sprandgo; one granddaughter, Dakota; one great granddaughter, Jayda Rose.  

The family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home on Rt. 98 Clarksburg/ Nutter Fort on Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 3-7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 11:00AM with Pastor Joel Randolph officiating. Internment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
