Austin Michael Shreve

Austin Michael Shreve, 25 of Salem passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born November 1, 1994 in Clarksburg, son of Donald Eugene Shreve Jr. of Kingsland, GA and Barbara Lynn Burr Shreve Jenkins and husband John “Jay” Jr. of Wallace.

Austin graduated from Lincoln High School.  He served in the US Army National Guard and was a laborer and safety coordinator for Triple H Enterprises. He enjoyed playing video games and hanging out with friends.    

In addition to his parents, Austin is survived by his wife, Kourtney Paige Greynolds Shreve whom he married on December 28, 2012; one daughter, Paighton Paige Shreve, at home; two brothers, Patrick S Shreve and Destiny Smith, Salem, and Christopher A Shreve, Bridgeport; “sister”, Heather Fisher and fiancé Greg Oldaker; aunts and uncles, Heath Burr, Roger Lee Shreve, Anita Goulet, Tammie Earnest and husband Jay; nieces and nephews, Aubrey Sue, Macie Jo, Isaiah, Xaynea, Emmaleigh, Kassie, Zoie, Krystalynn, Anna-Leece, Katlynn, and Hailee; grandparents, Kenneth and Carolyn Prescott, Ameila, FL; John Sr. and Arlene Wade Jenkins, Brown, Donald Eugene Shreve Sr. and wife Salem; father-in-law, Blaine Greynolds, Spelter; mother-in-law, Tameria Ash Gregory, Fort Worth, TX; sister-in-law, Josey Greynolds; several cousins. 

Austin is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jackie Sr. and Barbara Stout Burr; uncle, Jackie Burr Jr.

Family will receive friends at Higher Rock Ministries 305 Haywood Rd, Shinnston on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 3:00PM until time of the Celebration of Life Service at 5:00PM with Pastor Tim Sandy and Pastor Keith Swiger presiding. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Funeral Care Fund on our website or to Higher Rock Ministries, Attention, Kim Sandy, P.O. Box 442 Shinnston, WV 26431 for Paighton’s College Fund.
