Arden Lynch, Jr.

Arden Lynch Jr., 91, of Clarksburg passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at his son’s residence with family by his side. He was born on October 13, 1931 in Flemington, a son of the late Arden Lynch and Beulah Beatrice Batson Lynch Greathouse.

He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-three years, Barbara Gean Lynch who passed away on November 2, 2014.

Arden graduated from Flemington High School. He retired with twenty years serving his country in the United States Navy.  He also worked and retired from C&P Telephone which later became Verizon. He enjoyed coin collecting and square dancing. His love was traveling with his wife Barbara and family throughout the United States.

He is survived by two children, Don Lynch and wife Linda, Clarksburg, Karen Sue Mikes, Ponchatoula, LA; nine grandchildren, Kenneth, Michael, Mary, Rachel, Martha, Alexandria, Bobby, Brian, and Steven; fourteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, Arden was preceded in death by his siblings, John W. Lynch, Margaret Lynch Duprey, Charles R. Greathouse, Bud R. Greathouse and Richard E. Greathouse.

 The family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home on Rt. 98/Clarksburg on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 3:00 pm until time of the service at 7:00pm with Rev. Richard Settles officiating.
