Anna Bernadine Wood, 70, of Clarksburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at her residence. She was born on August 24, 1954 in St. Louis, MO, a daughter of the late Lester H. and Evelyn Ewing Hoelscher.
Anna was a graduate of Fairview High School in St. Louis, MO. She was known for her love of crocheting and baking—two passions through which she expressed care and creativity. Her hands were rarely still, always working to create something beautiful or comforting. Her talents reflected her character: patient, thoughtful, and full of love.
Anna is survived by her children, Christina Dunman of GA, Nicholas Wood of Clarksburg, and Theresa Garris and companion Mark Corbin of Clarksburg; grandchildren, Timothy Dunman and spouse Katie of GA, Heather Carol and spouse Austin of GA, Janek Dunman of GA, Jackson Dunman of GA, Jalysa Wood of Clarksburg, Kaleb Garris of Clarksburg, and Arianna Garris of Clarksburg; one great-grandchild on the way; two siblings, Peggy Kinsey and Judy Brockman, both of St. Louis; sister-in-law, Judi Rourke of St. Louis; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Anna is preceded in death by two brothers, Lester Hoelscher and Oscar Hoelscher; two brothers-in-law, Roy Kinsey and Ray Brockman.
