Alice Luella Sypolt

Alice Luella Sypolt, 48, of Thornton, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at United Hospital Center. She was born on March 9, 1977 in Kingwood, WV, a daughter of the late Carl Gay Sypolt and Lettie Belle Jones Sypolt.

Alice is survived by her children: Brady Lott and companion Hannah Mayle of Clarksburg, Cheyenne Lott and companion Julian Phillips of Thornton, Kathryn Lott and companion Zachary Mayle of Thornton, and McKenzie Lott of Thornton; grandchildren: Waylon Lott and Anthony Ray Mayle; 12 siblings; her beloved dog, Red.

Alice graduated from Preston County High School Class of 1995. Alice found joy in life’s simple pleasures, taking long drives with no particular destination, just enjoying the open road and the beauty around her. She loved the thrill of a good yard sale, always on the hunt for hidden treasures and one-of-a-kind finds. A creative soul at heart, she also had a passion for crafting, often turning everyday items into something special with her own personal touch. Alice was a vibrant and free spirit. She lived life on her own terms, fearless, strong-willed, and full of determination. With a heart as generous as it was bold, she was always there to lift others up, offering support, encouragement, and love without hesitation. Whether you needed a helping hand or a listening ear, she gave of herself freely and wholeheartedly. Her independent spirit and unwavering strength inspired those around her, and her warmth and generosity left a lasting mark on everyone she met.
