Alice Mae Stewart, 83 of Clarksburg passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at her residence. She was born January 22, 1942 in Salt Lick, WV; the daughter of the late Hobert Ray Crislip and Glenola Kathrine Dean Crislip.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Jack Marshall Stewart, Sr., who passed away on August 6, 2018.
Alice is survived by her two children, Patricia Ann Campbell of Clarksburg and James Campbell, III also of Clarksburg; grandchildren, Brittany Miles and Alanis McFly; one great grandson, Noah Smail; her brother, Johnny Crislip and wife Brenda of Buckhannon
In addition to her parents, Alice is preceded in death by her sons Russell Campbell and Jeff Campbell; siblings, Cathrine Crislip, Elmer Crislip, Edith Morton, Hobert Lane Crislip, Alberta Crislip, Albert Crislip, Grant Crislip, Mary Wilson, and Michael Crislip.
She was a woman of many talents and quiet strength. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and embroidery, pouring her creativity and love into each piece she made. A woman of faith, she deeply loved Jesus and lived her life with kindness and grace. She was a devoted and loving mother, and she also cherished the companionship of her beloved dog, Okie. Though she was shy by nature, those who knew her well found her to be funny, down-to-earth, intelligent, and truly a nice lady whose presence brought warmth and comfort.
She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr, Clarksburg, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 11:00 am with Sherman Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow at West Virginia Memorial Gardens in Calvin, WV.
