Alice Jean (Dixon) Carder

Alice Jean (Dixon) Carder, 86, of Clarksburg, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025 at River Oaks Healthcare Center.  She was born on March 20, 1938 in Clarksburg, WV, daughter of the late Charles Virgil and Martha Mae Hyman Dixon.

Alice graduated from Victory High School, Class of 1956. She had worked at St Mary’s Hospital as a secretary in the X-Ray department and also at Pacey & Dunnavan Funeral Home as secretary as well. She enjoyed playing cards, doing word puzzle books.

Alice is survived by three children, Kimberly Folmsbee, Jeffrey Carder, both of Centralia, IL, Rhonda Grable (Van), Carlyle, IL; grandson, Christopher Folmsbee; extra special sister, Patricia Bland, Clarksburg, additional siblings, Sandy Swentzel (Vance), Janet Galan (Joe) Bridgeport, Harold Dixon (Sue) Clarksburg, Lindsey Dixon (Debbie) Bridgeport; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Alice is preceded in death by one sister, Charlotte McCarty; one brother, David Dixon.
