Marcia Jean Geipe

Marcia Jean Geipe, age 62 of Marshville, WV passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at her residence. She was born October 7, 1954 in Clarksburg, WV; the daughter of Velma Louise (Wagner) Norman of Clarksburg, WV and the late Gerald Eugene Norman.

Marcia is survived by her husband of 34 years, Leon Geipe of Marshville; two daughters, Stephanie Jean Gump of Chambersburg, PA and Amanda Christine Johnson & her husband, Joseph of Nashville, TN; two step-son, Jonathan Baker of Marshville and Leon Norman of Parkersburg, WV; step-daughter, April Moore & her husband, James of Wisconsin; sister, Michelle Gola of Mt Clare; two brother-in-law's, James Geipe and Gale Glaspell , both of Marshville; ten grandchildren, Amber Pukmel of Newburg, PA, Brandon Gump of LaPorte, TX, Hayven Issac, Jacob Tyler, Morgan Ryleigh, Emili Adriannah, Ian Christopher, Zachary James, Kyler Wade-Robert, Eden Isobella, all of Sparta, WI, Xavier Geipe of Parkersburg, WV; two great grandchildren, Ivy Ciara and Baylee Mae, both of Newburg, WV; a niece, Tiffany Marie Elder of Canonsburg, PA.

Marcia graduated from Washington-Irving at the age of sixteen. She attended the Helen Keller School for the gifted and United Technical Center where she received her nursing certification. Marcia was a talented piano and organ player and she played the South Chestnut Street United Methodist Church in her younger years. Marcia was a loyal NASCAR fan and loved Dale Earnhardt # 3. She loved to plant her garden and flowers. Marcia was passionate about cooking and loved to BBQ. She was the happiest when she was with her family, friends and kitties.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 10:00am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at West Virginia National Cemetery.
