Edith E. (Mourino) Sprowls

Edith E. Sprowls, age 95 of Bridgeport, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Meadowview Manor Health Care. What a joyous meeting that must have been on this day when she was reunited with her mom, Louise. Edith often longed to go to her mom's during the last several months of her life. She was born September 18, 1921 in Pennsylvania; the daughter of the late Anthony Mourino and Louise (Knight) Mourino.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gayman Sprowls; three brothers, Adolph, Ernie and James Mourino.

Edith was a loving wife and homemaker; she resided at the Meadowview Manor long term care facility since January 2012 where she received loving care by the exceptional staff. Since March 2017, People's Hospice also assisted with providing loving care to Edith.
Edith was certainly blessed during her years at Meadowview Manor as she had many wonderful roommates and friends.

Edith always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed shopping and going out to eat at her favorite restaurants and dancing.

Edith was never able to have children but was a wonderful Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Edith had a special place in her heart for her great, great, great nephew, Aidan as they had spent many days together living in the same home before she moved to Meadowview Manor. Oh how happy was Aunt Edith to recently meet and hold Aidan's brother, Brantley, who was born in March of this year.

Aunt Edith will be missed by her loved ones who have comfort and joy in knowing she is rejoicing in her new everlasting home with loved ones who have "Crossed the Bar".

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Wednesday , August, 23, 2017 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM; Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Tom Horne, presiding. Interment will take place in Bridgeport Cemetery in Brownsville, PA.
