William "Bill" Harold Posey

William “Bill” Harold Posey, 90 of Clarksburg, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Clarksburg Nursing and Rehab. He was born February 20, 1929 in Clarksburg, WV; the son of the late Joseph Stranger and Ida Pearl Cunningham Posey.

Bill is survived by his son, Harold David Posey and wife Ramona, Clarksburg; four grandchildren, Christina L Mecannic and Michael, Sean Caplinger, Bridget Shreve and Jason, David Bryan Posey and Jessica; eight great grandchildren, Corey, Sydnee, Mikey Jr, Krystopher, Danielle, Sean Jr, Lucy and Corrine; one sister, Linda L Lainer; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lela Mae Byrd Posey in 2011; three siblings, Gatha M Stout, Faye “Irene” Grey and Richard Wayne Posey.

He was a mechanic and worked in the factory retiring from Anchor Hocking.  He would tinker with motors and loved working in his garage.  He was a member of the Oak Mound Evangelical Church and the West Fork Fishing Club.  He enjoyed his dogs and spending time with his grandchildren.

 A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens at 1:00 pm with Pastor DJ Hoff officiating. Online condolences may be sent to DavisFuneralHomeWV.com.  Davis Funeral Home is honored to assist the Posey family.
