Thomas “Mike” Michael Satterfield, Sr., 72 of Lumberport passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at the Louis A Johnson VA Medical Center. He was born August 12, 1947 in Lumberport, son of Jonathan Merrill and Mary Francis Mueller Satterfield.
Mike served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired as a truck driver from Toft’s Dairy in Sandusky, OH. His hobbies were hunting and hanging out at the McDonalds in Shinnston. He was always willing to offer a helping hand to anyone and would take fellow veterans to appointments or anywhere they needed to go.
Mike is survived by his two children, Thomas Michael Satterfield Jr. and Angie, Bellevue, OH and Christie Lynn Johnson, Sandusky, OH; six grandchildren, Tara Tippie, Thomas Satterfield III, Makya Satterfield, Jason Satterfield, Mylee Johnson and Lilly Johnson; two great grandchildren, Tiara and Zayne; four siblings, Jonathan Satterfield and Cheryl, Fort Myers, FL; Patricia Vincent and Charles, Bridgeport, Arlie Satterfield, Lost Creek and Geneva Smith, Morgantown; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Frederick Satterfield.
