Sandra Kay (Reider) Murray

Sandra Kay Murray, 76 of Johnstown passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018 at her residence with family by her side.  She was born June 15, 1941 in Clarksburg, the daughter of the late Paul and Nellie (McCullough) Reider.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 57 years, Charles L. Murray; three children, Tammy L. Seders and husband, Michael, Clarksburg,  Charles Paul Murray and wife Skeeter and Sherri Kay Talkington and husband Billy all of Johnstown; nine grandchildren, Amberli Owens and husband, Brian, McKenna Keller and fiance, Justin, Merissa Clark and husband, David, Amanda Martin and husband, Ernie, Michael Talkington, Cassandra Murray, Wesley Murray and wife, Amber, Brandon Murray and wife, Kayle and Sierra Murray; fourteen great grandchildren, Hunter, Isaac, Connor, Aryanna, Sophia, Skylar, Ashley, Haylee, Hannah, Harris, Shelby, Willow, Raelynn and Stella; five sisters, Cora Ann Mearns of Bridgeport, Kathryn Fittro of West Milford, Sherry Wiseman and husband, James of Huber Heights, OH, Deborah Bonnett and husband, Larry and Diana Pumphrey and husband, Richard all of North View; a brother, Charles Reider and wife, Mitzi of Rockford and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kari Wagner.

Sandra retired from the Harrison County Board of Education with thirty two years of service at Norwood Elementary School as a kindergarten Teacher’s Aide where she had a special place in her heart for the children. Sandra attended Barnes Memorial Baptist Church.  She loved Christmas and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and her close friends.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 2-8pm; Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 11:00 am with Reverend Karen Brown presiding. Interment will follow at Lumberport Lions Cemetery.
