Sandra Koontz Ancell Harbert Obituary

Sandra Harbert, 75 of Akron, OH formerly of Clarksburg, gained her wings on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 and traveled on to her Heavenly home, where loved ones who have passed rejoiced & welcomed her.

She was born on December 30, 1942 to the late Kenneth & Bonnie McClain Shreves. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, the father of her children, Ron Koontz, her second husband Ron Ancell; sister, Tonya Majkowski, and her precious grandson, Kody Adam Koontz.

Sandy is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Robert Harbert, his children; Ralph Harbert, Phillip Harbert and wife Kim, their children, Daniel, David, and Dale Harbert, and daughter Mickey Huber and husband Tim all of Akron, whom lovingly cared for Sandy during her illness.

Also left to cherish their mother’s memory are her three children, Sandra Denise Koontz Baker, Sardis, Kevin Koontz and wife Tracie, Glen Falls and Crystal Beverly and husband David, Sardis, her grandchildren, who she adored and was proud of, Aaron T. Koontz, Tyler Baker and wife Ammie, Keith Baker, and Alyssa Beverly; her great grandchildren Wyatt & Walker Koontz, Hunter Baker; sisters, Barbara “Cookie” Morgan and husband Bill, Kathy Shreves, all of Sardis; brother Kenny “Sonny” Shreves and wife Sherry, Clarksburg and lots of nieces and nephew who loved their Aunt Sandy.

Sandy was famous for being able to make a meal of nothing, cooked enough for an Army and always had a spot for you at the table. Her goodie boxes were filled with homemade treats made with love and was eagerly anticipated each year. She made a book full of her famous recipes that were made for all the girls and are used faithfully.

Sandy always cooked and worked at Millie’s Restaurant in her early years, later at Salem College Personal Care Home, and last at Meadowview Manor.

She enjoyed shopping and running around with her mom, Grandma Bonnie, crocheting, camping at Middlefork Campground with family, working in her flower gardens, and spending time with family.

Sandy was a member of Little Rock Camp Baptist Church.
