Ronald Elmer Hufford, 86 of Clarksburg, WV passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at River Oaks in Nutter Fort, WV. Ronald was born August 14, 1932 in Wolf Summit, WV the son of the late Elmer and Mildred James Hufford.
Ronald graduated from Victory High School and served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for Rolland Glass, Pittsburg Plate Glass and the Harrison County Board of Education where he retired as a custodian. Ronald was a member of the Clarksburg VFW Post 573 and American Legion Post 13. His passion was clocks that he collected, repaired, designed and built. His hobbies also included hunting, fishing and listening to country music.
Ronald is survived by his wife of sixty two years, Deanna Elizabeth Campbell Hufford; two sons, David Ronald Hufford, Japan and Wayne Allen Hufford, Clarksburg; one great granddaughter, Avayhann Skeens; one brother, James Hufford, Reston, VA; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Dale Hufford and one granddaughter, Shana Elizabeth Hufford.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 2-8:00PM at Davis Funeral Home on Rt. 98 Clarksburg/Nutter Fort. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 11:00AM from the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Jon Hayes officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery where military honors will be accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard and US Army Honor Guard.
