Ronald L. Allen

Ronald Lee “Tex” Allen, age 74 of Clarksburg, WV passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Genesis Health Care Salem Center. He was born July 5, 1943 in Clarksburg, WV; the son of the late Andrew Milton Allen and Margaret Jane (Cox) Allen.

Ronald worked for Waldo Service Station as a handyman. He also worked for the traveling Carnival.

Ronald is survived by his ex-wife, Charlotte Griffith of Chiefton, WV; his known children, Melissa Ann (Allen) Tate “Little Tex” & her husband, Dave of Mannington, WV; two sons, Ronald Lee Allen, Jr. of Chiefton, WV and Steven Skidmore of Charleston, WV; six grandchildren, Devin Nathaniel Tate, Davina Marie Tate, David Michael Tate, Davin Matthew Tate, Rusty William Skidmore, Daniel William Skidmore; five brothers, Edward Milton Allen Sr. of Anmoore, WV, Tommy Allen of Maryland, Orvil Allen & his wife, Bee of Clarksburg, WV, David Allen of Chiefton, WV, and Charles “Chucky” Allen of Salem, WV; three sisters, Sandra Siders of Wilsonburg, Dolly Wine of Liberty Addition and Mildred Jane Allen of Reynoldsburg; numerous nieces, nephews and a large extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by his brother, Stanley Allen; five sisters, Idamay, Edna, Oleta, Mary and Elizabeth.

The family would like to thank Bee Allen & Jean Koch for the attentive care that they gave Ronald.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with the funeral expenses.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 3:00 – 6:00 pm. Cremation will follow the services.
