Ralph Murray Obituary

Ralph Raymond Murray, 81 of Mt. Clare, passed away on Thursday April 18, 2019 at his residence. He was born June 8, 1937 in Mt. Clare, WV; the son of the late Samuel Murray and Mandlea DeMoss.

Ralph retired from the Columbus Zoo as a grounds keeper for over nineteen years. His hobbies were fishing and playing golf.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Elva Jean Murray of Mt. Clare; one son, Ralph (Rocky) Murray and wife Mary of Clarksburg; one granddaughter Emily Reed and husband Jonathan of Bridgeport; three grandchildren, Paisley Ellison, Payton and Parker Reed all of Bridgeport; his four legged companion “Big Foot”; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ralph is preceded in by five siblings, Frank Murray, Carl Murray, Howard Murray, Jim Campbell, and Judy Bile.

The Murray family you like to extend a special “Thank You” to Amedisys Hospice and especially Christy.

Ralph donated his body to WVU and all services will be private.
