All my prayers for Penny's family. It was such an honor to call her friend over the last 10 years. She was always so thoughtful and caring, remembering my family in prayer and knitting the most beautiful prayer shawls, which I will treasure. I will miss her laugh and the time I spent with her. May she find peace and comfort in the arm's of our Lord and Savior. God Bless, Melony Johnson

Message from Thomas Spelsberg - April 21 at 09:29 AM

Penny`s passing was a shock to us as we live far away. I remember her well in high school in the class behind us. Penny had a unique, caring spirit. She was so kind to many and included my sister, Linda, and I in the WI Breakfast club with other WI graduates. She kept us informed of things and events. She had a unique spirit about her, one that I really appreciated. She will be in our memories forever. So sorry for your loss! Penny & I enjoyed many adventures together from attending basketball games at AB to driving to remote country churches to hear her favorite Gospel singer Stephen Hill. She was even surprised one time when he found out she was sick & sent her a getwell card. She will be greatly missed! May God comfort you & give you peace.
Message from Roxanna L. Rinehart - April 20 at 09:37 PM

In 1988, Penny Boyles and Bobbi Hudkins oriented me to the Outpatient Nursing Dept at the VA Med center. Penny was definitely in charge and was knowledgeable re: the whole Dept. I followed Bobbi around like a puppy, but I soon learned to appreciate Penny's care she had for the veterans and her pride in running the department. She taught me so much about all of the clinics and I use that knowledge today in my present job. I fondly remember her staying in contact with me through the years after her retirement from the VA. She was one of the first to make that trip to my basement office at the VA when she learned of my battle with breast cancer and she brought me a handmade prayer blanket from her church family. I still have it today. She thought of others before herself and I will always remember her kindness to me during my dark days. I will greatly miss you Penny, and my heart is heavy, but the memories will live on. Be at peace, Love, Roxanna L. Pheasant Rinehart .
