Nathan Kesling Obituary

Nathan Lewis Kesling, 34 of Clarksburg went to be with the lord on Friday, November 29, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital with family by his side. He was born November 27, 1985 in Fairmont; the son of Joyce Renee (Dehner) Kesling and the late Michael Lewis Kesling.

Nathan was a wonderful father, brother, and son. He is survived by his son, Caleb Lewis Kesling and his mother, Kelsey Marie (Flesher) Kesling of West Milford; three brothers, Matthew Michael Kesling & his wife, Megan of Clarksburg, Zachary Nicholas Kesling and his companion Amber Gaines of Good Hope, & Ethan Earl Kesling & his fiancée, Samyra Somazze of Stonewood; three nieces and nephews, Thorn and Gedeon Kesling and Gemma Kesling; his paternal grandmother, Marvis Dean Nichols Kesling; two uncles Keith Kesling and his companion, Allison Giannone and their children Ben and Jordanna all of Anmoore, Robert “Bob” Dehner and his wife, Penny, Chillicothe, OH, and numerous close friends especially, Nathan Green, Mikey Sandy, Dave Coleman, Steven Campbell, Timmy Swiger, Daniel Jones, Jonathan Swiger & Jay Matheny.

In addition to his father, Nathan is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Herman “Bud Kesling Junior and maternal grandparents, Robert and Ivalou Monroe Dehner; great grandparents, Herman Earl Senior and Mary C. Rutter Kesling, Lewis Nichols and Ester Nichols Daniels.

He graduated from Notre Dame, where he lettered in football and also participated in other sports. He attended West Virginia State Correctional Officer Institute, after graduating he became a Correctional Officer at Salem Correctional Center, where he was currently employed.

Nathan was well known for his cooking especially on the grill. He loved to cook for people and enjoyed trying authentic foods. He loved hunting especially with his dad and son. His son was his life and they always spent many hours together. He attended Forward Church, formerly known as Stealey Assembly of God. He was an avid WVU Mountaineer Fan and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Nathan will always be remembered for his strong will, compassion and love for people.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 12:00 – 8:00pm.  Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Mark Greaver, presiding and Pastor Larry Green assisting. Interment will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery.
