Murl Spinks Obituary

Murl Frank Spinks, 77 of Bridgeport passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018 at United Hospital Center. He was born July 1, 1941 in West Union, son of the late Alex Franklin and Martha Sofrinee Yeater Spinks. Murl was raised by his foster parents, Homer and Nina Riddle. He worked in the glass factory in Salem. Murl was a missionary and loved the Lord spreading his word. He was a member of the Gospel Barn in Bridgeport. He is survived by his adopted granddaughter, Ruth Hardway and husband Larry and their children, Larry Jr, Lena, Karen, Melissa, Zathanial and fiancé Sarah, and John all of Bridgeport, WV; nieces and nephews, Gerald Powers, Hedgesville, WV, Betty Powers, Davisville, WV, Robert Fisher, Warren, OH. In accordance with Murl’s wishes cremation services were provided. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on October 13, 2018 at 1:30pm at the Chiefton Chapel House of Prayer, 14 Cloverleaf Drive, Clarksburg, WV, 26301 with Pastor Chad Rowan officiating.
