Mike Migliore, age 91, of Newark, OH (formerly from Clarksburg, WV) passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on April 10, 1925 in Clarksburg, WV, a son of the late Mike Migliore and Angeline (Ribero) Migliore.
Mike went to Victory High School and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He enlisted in the Navy during World War II where he saw duties in the North Atlantic and Pacific theatres. After the war he worked for Adamston Flat and Fourco/American Float Glass retiring after more than 42 years of service.
Mike was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign War. He was a loving husband and father who enjoyed life and spending time with his extended family. He also enjoyed being outdoors, real country music, making applesauce for everyone and playing golf with his brother-in-law's and grandson.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rose, and their children, Shirley Ann Migliore of Newark, OH and John Michael (Diane) Migliore of Parkersburg, WV; his grandson, Michael Thomas Migliore; his favorite niece, Barbara Dory Crider; and his brother-in-law's, sister-in-law's and many other wonderful nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Migliore; a sister Mary Migliore Dory; and a brother-in-law, Carl Dory.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 3:00 - 8:00 PM; Catholic funeral rites will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Father Akila Rodrigo, presiding. Interment will follow at Shinnston Memorial Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by Harrison County Honor Guard and the Navy Honor Guard.
