Louise Selmon Obituary

Louise Selmon, known to family and friends as “Louie” 99, of Clarksburg WV, passed away on Wednesday October 31, 2018. Louise was the last surviving sibling of Sylvester and Maude Ashcraft.

Louise was born in Clarksburg WV to Sylvester and Maude Ashcraft on April 4th 1919. She married Dorsey Selmon in 1937 in Clarksburg WV

Louise is preceded in death by Husband Dorsey Selmon, Daughter Janie Selmon, Parents Sylvester and Maude Ashcraft, Daughter-in-law JoAnne Selmon, Sisters Winifred McGinnis, Mary Anderson, Sylvia Lott, and Brother Jack Ashcraft.

Louise is survived by son Thomas Glen Selmon Sr. of Myrtle Beach SC, Many Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Great-Great-Grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Louise was a dedicated homemaker; wife and mother until the passing of her husband Dorsey in 1964. She than began her career in nursing at Seton Retirement Home in Clarksburg WV.

The family would like to thank the staff of Rosewood Retirement Home in Grafton WV, for the many years of kind care they provided Louise.

Louise will be greatly missed.
