Louis Frederick Van Norman Jr

Louis Frederick Van Norman Jr, 72 of Bridgeport passed away at his residence on Thursday, June 28, 2018 with family by his side.  He was born June 15, 1946 in San Diego, CA, son of the late Louis Frederick Van Norman Sr and Rose Mary Vilenzo Van Norman.  Louis was a United States Navy Veteran and attended Salem College.  He enjoyed collecting coins, fishing, camping and loved spending time with his family.  He is survived by his wife Mary Ann Swiger Van Norman of twenty four years; four children, Marcia Hefner and Jeff, Clarksburg, Richard “Rick” Van Norman, Bunnell, FL, Louis Anthony Van Norman and wife Julie, Clarksburg, Liberty Kincaid and Nelson, Clarksburg; three stepchildren, Ashley Jenkins, Bridgeport, Russell Jenkins and wife Alayca, Lost Creek, Kyle Jenkins, Clarksburg; five grandchildren, Matthew Stine, Victoria Pennington, Dakota Ferrell, Bryan Van Norman, and Andrew Van Norman; one step granddaughter, Nora Jenkins; one great granddaughter, Jemma Pennington; two brothers, Ronald Van Norman and wife Joyce, San Bernardino, CA, Anthony Van Norman, Seattle, WA; one sister, Grace Riley and husband Bill, Seattle, WA; several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Interim Healthcare and Kristi Marra.  Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 3:00-7:00 PM; funeral service will be on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Duane Adams presiding. Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery where military honors will be accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard and US Navy Reserve.
