Loretta Virginia (Brown) Lowther

Loretta Virginia Lowther, 95 of Clarksburg passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Clarksburg Nursing and Rehabilitation.  She was born February 17, 1924 in Clarksburg daughter of the late Pete F and Ollie May Tyree “Terrie” Brown.

Loretta graduated from Victory High School.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and sewing.  She was Baptist by faith.

Lorretta is survived three children; Ernest Lowther (Cherie) of Clarksburg, Richard Lowther (Joyce) of Fort Ashby, Tammy L. Lowther of Clarksburg; ten grandchildren; Missi, Matthew, Doug, Jason, Lori, Lisa, Richard, Jackie, Tina, and Steven; several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Loretta is preceded in death by one son, Garry Lowther; five brothers, Sidney, Oliver “Ray” Norman, Forrest and Thomas “Brownie” Brown; two sisters, Ella Mae Miller and Garnett “Peggy” Weekley.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 11 AM until time of  Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
